Boxin' The Vox

Boxin' The Vox

Boxin' The Vox is a Dutch folkband comprising of David Plasmeijer and Anne-Lotte Paymans. This happily married couple is a well known to the folk music scene in Holland and West-Clare, Ireland. As Anne-Lotte says: “We bring ‘our’ Irish songs and music from Holland back home to Ireland.” Their music is influenced by Irish folk musicians like Luka Bloom, Christy Moore, Mary Black and Sinéad O'Connor, 60/70 artists like Melanie Safka, Simon & Garfunkel and contemporary acts like The Young Folk and the Cranberries. Singing from the heart, two voices in harmony and with a natural enthusiasm for Irish music, Boxin’ The Vox will put a smile on everybody’s face. The duo has played on multiple Irish festivals in Holland and toured Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Normandy and Brittany in France. Anne-Lotte plays guitar, David is a renowned lute and banjo player. In June 2017, the duo released their debut studio album Take me home with covers of traditional and contemporary Irish songs. The full-length is recorded, mixed and mastered by Janos Koolen.
